Girasol

Girasol is a pill holder/fidget spinner. It was created for my lactose-intolerant girlfriend as a fun way for her to carry lactase pills.

The pill holder was milled from aluminum and brass by CNC. An acrylic window can be rotated to release the pills. It was designed to be stored comfortably in a back pocket and carry enough pills for a day’s milk consumption.

The name “girasol” is Spanish for sunflower, derived from the words girar (to turn) and sol (sun).

Processes: CNC, Laser Cutting, Wax Fixturing

Materials: Aluminum, Brass, Acrylic
